T-Mobile First Quatre

One Thursday May 8, 2008 T- Mobile launched their results for first quatre sales. T- Mobile has seen a lot of growth since the end of last year according to the information publicized. The growth has been mostly in the data and broadband area.

The figures are showing that data traffic has actually out performed voice usage for the first time ever. T- Mobile broadband are expecting that their broadband numbers are going to quadruple by the end of 2008 based on their success so far. T- Mobile has increased their customers by 2.3 percent. They are now showing 17 million customers in the broadband sales, which means that one in four customers are choosing the package offering internet on phones. For now voice share of ARPU they are seeing a 22 percent increase compared to last year at 20 percent increase.

T-Mobile’s executive chief spoke about the numbers. The company figures they will be on track for the rest of the year because they are still seeing strong growth for broadband in the mobile broadband community. In 2007 they had 4 percent of their new contracts in the broadband area, which has gone up to 25 percent in the first quatre alone in 2008.

They are in a position to move forward on a larger scale so that they can consolidate some of their cell sites to procure more 3G network coverage by the end of 2009. With revenues up by 2.6 percent in this year coming in at 801 million pounds they expect the prepay cell phones to grow by 350,000.
