When one has already maximized their usage of their download allowance, they may still continue using the service however, the speed will be limited to only 128 Kb per second for then next 250 MB of data used.

 The actual broadband dongle has more features than just a modem; it has a provisional slot for a Micro SD card which one can use as a storage device while using the dongle. This is quite beneficial as one no longer needs to plug in multiple flash drives just for storage purposes; and instead just use one. Another feature is that it has a provision for an aerial socket; this is used to connect and external antenna to the dongle to gather stronger signal strength; though this is not a necessity for most, it is still quite a benefit especially if one is in an enclosed area with a lot of network signal obstructions.
