Do you have an iPhone yet? If not, why not? You really should invest in one, they’re truly brilliant. And did you know that you can get broadband speeds on your iPhone if you’re in the right place?

Most place you go to these days have free Wi-Fi connection so there is virtually always somewhere to go and browse the internet and check your emails while you perhaps have a cup of coffee. What’s better then that for the busy person about town.

Personally i use mine to entertain myself to and from work. It’s a great source of amusement since i can look at all my pictures and favourite home videos on it too. Not only that, but i can also play games and go on the social networking sites i love to frequent when i’m at home.

Mobile broadband couldn’t come to you in a better, more compact form than the iPhone from Apple; damn these guys are good, and they seriously know what to do to get you shopping for the next best thing. Now it’s the iPad would you believe. iPhones are sure to come down in price now guys, so if you don’t have one, go and get one in the next set of sales you see in the electrical and gadget stores; they need to make way for the new toys.

3 Mobile are there again! Here they are at their best with their free laptops under their arms, trying to bid for your hard earned money folks. Take a look at their offers below and make your own mind up about how good they are. Free laptop deals are good, but how good are these…

Here’s the first one:

The Samsung R530 brought to you by 3 Mobile

HD display

4GB of memory

500 GB hard drive

SRS 3D sound system, includes a super silent low noise mode perfect for the train etc.

Free USB Modem for getting online straight away.

£35 a month buys you the following

24 month contract

15GB of usage

7.2MB of speed.

The next one from 3 Mobile is:

The Compaq CQ62

Mid sized laptop

2GB memory

160GB hard drive

Free modem

£30 a month buys you the following

24 month contract

7.2 MB speed

15GB usage

Both are pretty good laptop deals, but i have to say that if i had to make a choice i’d pay the extra £5 a month and have a decent laptop. The thing also with laptop mobile broadband deals is that they are often forced to put you on a 24 month contract in order to make their money. They couldn’t very well do it for less time when the laptops cost them so much money.

There are so many of these mobile broadband companies that you will almost certainly be able to get yourself a good deal if you compare prices well. There is absolutely no reason why you should take anything less that the type of mobile broadband that you really want, for a reasonable price…

Today we’re going to look at a couple of mobile broadband suppliers and detail just what they’ve got on offer.

The first one we’re looking at is 3 Mobile, and their deal goes like this:

£15 a month. Seems like a reasonable price depending on what else is on offer.

24 month contract. This is quite a long contract to be signing up for considering that the rate in which new technologies come out and the rate in which offers change and develop are very rapid. When you’re tied down for 2 years you could miss some seriously good deals.

Download allowance at 15GB

Speeds of up to 7.2MB

Free delivery and money back guarantee for 14 days.

The other one we’re looking at is the good old fashioned Vodafone:

£15 a month. Again perfectly reasonable, and the same as 3 Mobile

1 month contract length. This is much more reasonable considering the speed at which this mobile broadband industry moves these days. A one month contract keeps everyone on their toes.

Downloads of 3GB. This isn’t so good really and is virtually no good at all for hardcore gamers and music downloaders etc. However, if you’re careful you can get away with it.

Speed of up to 7.2MB

So there you have them. I wouldn’t claim to tell you which i thought was best, but i just know that i don’t like signing long contracts. People these days are always wary of contracts.

So you’ve just got a new job and you find yourself without enough hours in the day to finish the ton of work you have left on your desk. You can’t get access to a PC comfortably at home becuase of all the kids and the noise and the general inconvenience of it all, what do you do?

You get yourself a laptop PC and then you get mobile broadband, that’s what you do. With a laptop and a mobile broadband package that suits you, you can finish up all that extra work on your train ride home in the evening, or you could work over luch wherever you are. The possibilities become endless with mobile broadband.

It might not all be about work either. If you have teenagers who are at home then you might want to get your turn on Facebook in whilst you’re on the train. There’s no better way to unwind than to whine at all your friends online about the terrible day you’ve had; but just be sure not to say anything bad about your boss or he’ll kick you out.

Well there is a question. The reason is quite simple really, and although you might like to think that you don’t need to keep up with everyone else, you are eventually going to use mobile broadband whether you want to or not; quite simply because that’s the way the world is taking you…

Those who already use mobile broadband are primarily those who use their laptops on the way to work because there aren’t enough hours in the day, and young internet users who often don’t have a permanent residence anyway in which to have a desktop system and a landline; these sort of youngsters are usually students or those of about the same age and slightly over.

But when you consider that all those students are using mobile broadband on their wireless devices, then imagine how many of the older generation will be using them when this lot get older. Then they in turn will breed another generation of mobile broadband users who have never known a world without it; indeed, my daughter cannot believe that i lived in a time when there was no internet at all!

So wireless broadband will become the future and we will all be forced along with it, simply because not to be a part of it is folly; soon we won’t be able to function without the internet, and no-one wants to be left behind do they?

There is nothing better than mobile broadband for mobile internet use today. The only thing that comes close in speed for broadband users is fibre optics, but i’m not really sure how this works with mobile internet…

For the meantime it’s probably best to stick with broadband through the telephone wires, at least until fibre optics sort out their issues. These are mainly coverage issues, and they don’t look like they are going to get the entire UK covered very quickly at the moment; at least with broadband through the telephone cables you can get a reasonable service and get what you need, when you need it, and mostly where you need it.

When the sort of speeds that the fibre optic networks boast are actually readily available to all mobile broadband users, and providing they can afford the price of it, there very well may be little point in upgrading for what you need it for anyway. If you think about, yes highspeed broadband is good when you’re out and about, but how many of us actually need that sort of speed when we’re out at work and on the way here and there? Isn’t it better to have the faster service in the home if it’s going to be even marginally cheaper?

Remember to be sure to compare prices of your mobile internet provider when you decide which mobile broadband to go with; there’s a lot out there to choose from!

Mobile broadband deals are changing constantly and it’s never easy to get the one that’s the best; you quite literally have to make a decision at some point and you can only go with what you are presented with at the time. We would strongly advise you to make your own decision based on your needs and several recommendations and reviews; but more importantly don’t keep looking once you’ve decided and signed on the dotted line, you’re bound to get upset!

This happens all the time. One moment you think you’ve got the broadband deal of the century and then the following week their competitor has bettered them once more!

Well here is one of the ones we think is pretty good at the moment; whether it’s top of the heap isn’t a decision we’re prepared to make, this is subjective and entirely reliant on what you need from your mobile broadband:

Vodafone Mobile Broadband

Offers 7.2Mbs of speed

3.6 GB of downloads

12 month contract

All for £15 a month

Now that’s not a bad deal, plus Vodafone usually have good coverage. This is why it’s always worthwhile going with a giant like Vodafone, they simply have the best networks; particularly if the price per month is good value.

It has to be said that having mobile broadband is a must these days, and if you have a laptop computer and you’re not on mobile broadband then you must be mad! You need to make sure that you get a good mobile broadband connection though; so we’ve taken it upon ourselves to make sure that you do…

You need to make sure first of all that the coverage for your mobile broadband is adequate. It’s all good and well reading that the speed is this or that, but it all depends on where you are in the world and whether your mobile broadband provider can reach you and give you a strong signal.

Secondly you need to make sure that you get the right package to suit your needs. If you are a PC gamer and/or a music fan who is constantly downloading music then you will need more download allowance than someone who doesn’t do these things. Likewise if you don’t do this then you don’t want to be paying for it really do you? Why pay for mobile broadband that you don’t use?

Don’t pay too much for your mobile broadband. You need to seriously consider shopping around to find the best deals. The best place is obviously the internet and it’s on sites like this one tht you’ll find some of the most objective information about current mobile broadband offers. Shop Around.

The iPhone is quite literally mobile broadband in that it is a mobile and you can get broadband speeds on it. The iphone, and other web ready mobiles, are becoming one of the largest things to access the internet in the world; they are indeed taking over…

So, let’s look at what the iphone can actually do shall we? We’ve all seen the adverts about what “apps” you can get for your iphone, and about how much fun it is to be using your iphone. Apparently there is nothing much the iphone can’t do! They’ll have it boiling an egg for you next (in fact there is probably an egg timer app for the damn thing!

But what we’re primarily concerned with on this site it the iphone’s ability as a mobile broadband device. How reliable is it? What sort of speeds can you expect etc.

Well as a mobile broadband device the new iphone 3GS will load web pages, open apps, send email, take pictures and basically do everything twice as fast as it did before.

This mobile broadband device lives on a fantastically reliable, rated as “outstanding”, network. You need never really be worried about not getting online with your iphone; it’s a virtual impossibility!

Probably the best mobile broadband device on the market today, the iphone is years ahead of its time and is certainly one to get. It’s not too expensive either.

In todays world there seems to be more and more reason to be online, and once you’re online there seems to be even more need to take full advantage of the mobile broadband technology out there at the moment. It’s inevitable that you’re going to need internet on the move so you may as well give in to it now while there are so many offers out there…

I am always amused by those people who say that they will never need the computer and they don’t go online etc etc, simply because about a year down the line they realise that they will end up as a relic of a forgotten age if they don’t modernise; simply really. Even my grandmother is online and utilising mobile broadband technology with her lap top. She sits in the garden on sunny afternoons and surfs the internet and emails her family; she thinks it’s great!

So eventually you will all be using mobile broadband, it’s a fact. You might get a new phone as a present one day and you’ll realise that it’s capable of surfing the internet, and as soon as you realise this you’ll want to know how to use it and what to do. Before long you’ll be a mobile broadband junkie with an iPhone or something else that’s equally able and ready to help you surf the web.

You see it around you everywhere you go, from the youngster sitting in the burger bar on their iphones to the business man on his laptop travelling on the train first thing in the morning. The mobile broadband revolution is here; be a part of it!
